Put it in the diary

Centre opens September 2026 Our new face-to-face centre in Orpington. Darrick Wood School Lovibonds Avenue, Orpington Kent, BR6 8ER Get directions
Classes start Wednesday 9 September Maths, English, VR and NVR.
  • Year 4: 5.30–7pm
  • Year 5: 7–8.30pm

What it costs

Because a new centre should prove itself before it asks for a full term. One month at half price is long enough for your child to settle in, and for you to judge the method that has put 1,000+ children into grammar and independent schools.

What your child gets
Weekly face-to-face classes in Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning, taught in small groups at our Orpington centre.
What it costs
Your first month is half price: £75. From month two it is £25 an hour, paid monthly in advance, about £150 a month. You decide each month whether to carry on. No contract, no notice period.
Why half price, not free
Because free brings people who were never going to come, and the seat then sits empty. The room fits a fixed number of children, so an empty chair costs another family a place.

Three steps to a seat

The whole thing takes about a minute.

  1. Tell us about your child

Your name, a mobile number, and which year group your child is in. Nothing else.

  2. We message you the seat link

A WhatsApp from our team with your first-month link at half price. Pay it and the place is yours.

  3. You get the joining details

Start date, class times and what to bring, sent before we open in September.

Questions parents are asking

If yours isn't here, call 07575 075710 or send us a question.

Where exactly will the centre be?

Darrick Wood School in Orpington, chosen for easy reach from the town centre and from the primary schools most of our families come from.

Everyone who registers gets the exact entrance and parking details by WhatsApp and email, well before classes start. Your seat is held either way, and if the location does not suit you once you know it, you can step away and owe nothing further.

Why is the first month half price?

Because we are new to Orpington and you have no reason to take our word for anything yet.

Your first month is half price. That is long enough for your child to settle in, and long enough for you to watch what happens to their marks and their confidence. We would rather you decided after seeing the teaching than after reading a leaflet about it.

Is there a catch?

No. The half-price first month is the only payment before classes start, and it confirms the seat. The room fits a fixed number of children, so an empty chair costs another family a place.

It is not a deposit, it is not a subscription, and it does not roll into anything you have not agreed to. You can stop after that month.

What happens after the first month?

You decide, and you decide knowing the number in advance. From month two it is £25 an hour, paid monthly in advance, about £150 a month.

If you want to carry on, you carry on. If you would rather stop, tell us and that is the end of it. There is no contract, no notice period and no cancellation fee.

Do I need to set up a Direct Debit?

No. Registering does not set up a Direct Debit, a standing order or any recurring payment, and nothing begins charging you automatically after the first month.

The first month is a single one-off payment. If you choose to continue after it, we arrange payment with you at that point, as a separate conversation.

Which year groups and subjects is this for?

Years 4 to 6, which covers children beginning their preparation right through to those sitting the exam next. We are not running Year 3 classes at this centre for now. If your child is outside that range, tell us on the form and we will be straight with you about whether we can help.

Classes cover Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning, which is the full spread tested by the Kent, Bexley and Bromley papers.

How big are the classes?

Small enough that nobody sits at the back and disappears, which is the whole reason we cap registrations rather than taking every name that comes in.

We will confirm the exact group size with the joining details, once the room is confirmed.

How and when do I pay?

Not on this page. Once you register your interest, we send you a payment link on WhatsApp and the seat is confirmed when it is paid.

We do it that way so you can ask us questions first, and so you are never typing payment details into a page before you have spoken to a human.

What if we cannot make the September start?

Tell us when you register and we will note it. Seats are allocated for the September opening first, but if your circumstances change we would rather know early and offer the place to another family than hold a chair nobody uses.
